Seward Neighborhood

Welcome to the Seward neighborhood, sandwiched conveniently between the University of Minnesota’s West Bank, the River Road and the new Light Rail Transitway and 26th Street on the south! Everybody loves Seward for its easy access location, its easy going urban flavor, the tree-lined streets and the friendly neighbors. No wonder there is such a low turnover in the homes!![]()
The housing stock is primarily a 1900-1925 range, with larger homes along the River Road. Stroll down historic Milwaukee Avenue, a lovely pedestrian only street of turn-of-the-century homes. Run into the Seward Co-op for your groceries. Check out Joan of Art for fun original artwork! True Thai has a line out the door on the weekends, but stop by for lunch during the week instead or have breakfast at the amazing Birchwood to meet your neighbors. Ride your bike to the train station to get downtown…it’s easy to see why everyone loves Seward!
