Minneapolis, like a lot of urban centers, has gone through many periods of renewal and redevelopment. The most recent period for downtown resulted in a plethora of condo developments.
From the high-rise upscale Carlyle, pictured at right, to the lofts in the warehouse district, to the arts district condos centered around the Guthrie Theater – all is alive and well in Minneapolis.
Living downtown offers all that you would expect. Theaters, restaurants, pubs, night-clubs, sporting venues are all within walking distance of any downtown home.
However, living downtown doesn’t mean that you lose access to green space. The Mississippi River front has parks on both sides and Loring Park, on the city’s western edge, leads to the Walker Sculpture Garden as well. |
